    Has that cleared anything up?
Crystal clear! Sounds good, so next question is in what part of the country will this be held?

Hello, i am going to suss out the new site on Saturday, with a little help from a couple of local advisors, (wink wink nudge nudge, say no more ) will post a report upon my return , hopefully we might have found another suitable location for our craft !! But if not do not despair, things are in place for one last one this year at the original site , for those suffering from withdrawal symptoms.
Just to say a big THANKYOU !! to all who came , cooked , brought provisions , shared knowledge , skills, and generally made it yet another memorable meet , personally i couldn't imagine life without you lot !! Crikey ! thats enough of that twaddle ... Some have said its escapism , or running away from the real world . I cant remember who said, aren't all forms of recreation , just that ?

    Any way atb Ivan...

Wow, looks like you guys had a ball! Well... I was vindicated in not going as my partner went into labour at 4.40am on the Monday morning (a week early!). 27 hours later our lovely baby girl was born! I'm typing this one handed as I hold her tiny form in my other arm

Anyway, after seeing how much fun you all had (again), I'm still really keen to make it along to a future meet and see you guys in person.

And Ivan, even if I don't make it to a meet I'm sure I can find a bit of time away for a walk round the site with the dog some day...

    Hi everyone!

It was my pleasure to meet all of you. I also think you all should thank me for bringing this glorious Chicago fall weather to you, regardless how short it was.
I enjoyed every minute of this retrieve from the office and from Cardiff's chores to prepare my daughter stay there for one year.
Also, as funny as it sounds - everything you are doing reminds me so much how we were spending our free time in my youth, not having any money to spend on the real vacations, hotels and fancy meals. We were doing it for at least one months at the time - and we call it "vacation"! About 40 years past since - I felt like I am playing in my toy soldiers again - and I THANK YOU FOR THAT!!!

    PS
I am glad you appreciated my libations...

    Hi, it's me again.
The Yank, can't figure out the way this site operates.
My all pictures had some captions, but they did not transferred to the post.
For some curious I am putting them in sequence here, separately, although the pictures should have been uploaded in better sequence...

Also Paul somehow weaseled TWICE on the pictures, so I had to come up with two captions.

Sorry, next time I'll be more careful.

Belated thanks to one and all for the warm welcome to your secret lair “somewhere on Dartmoor”. Special thanks to Alastair and Adam for helping me to set up in a perfect hammock location ( great photo, Joel, of idyllic cycle and hammock set up) and to Paul W for extra hammock tips and Bushbuddy expertise. Hope to join you all again very soon.

Hello everyone, whom I've met and some I may meet in the future.
Paul, as a good instigator and good body of mine convinced me to compile this post.

Some of you know and some of you don't: I am not really big fan of cold rains, but I do not mind WARM rains!
That is why I invested in the place where are no Cold rains, but plenty of warm/hot weather and warm rains and plenty of jungle to go around.
Generally, I have enough land for the survivalists to try their skills in different from UK bush environment. Mind you, it is a Caribbean sea front land.
It is still in pristine natural condition and I have the plans to start working on it to make it more inhabitable.
I fly there several times per year and stay 2-3 weeks at the time.
Paul thinks some of you would find the time and resources to join me for that type of excursion.
The country is Belize, as to you more familiar as "British Honduras" and would not require any entry paperwork.

OK, before I start explaining more about it I would like to hear some of your responses to my invitation.
I also perfectly understand that this is not a picnic next to your house and it will require more then one weekend.

If some of you will respond with some interest and we could form small group - I will explain all details and all logistics involved and also tell you more what I can provide.
My trip more or less flexible on calendar, I probably will go one time this year, then another time sometimes in Feb./March.

This is a free invitation, you could help me to clear some bush areas - I have a crew there, but you do not have to. You could camp on my land, we can enjoy each other company and you can put another notch on the "bed post of you adventures".

    All replies are welcome!!!

    JIM-BEAM.

Sign me up for that experience please Igor! I will pack in the job to get that chance it they won't give me a holiday! But would have to be any time from early next year when my coursework is finished, can't throw that away.

You brought something very different and interesting into the mix Igor (and I don't just mean the alcohol, although that was mind-blowingly good). Thanks for sharing your ideas, stories and life experiences with us, a perfect gent and an a great sense of humour.

Paul, as a good instigator and good body of mine convinced me to compile this post.
    For 'body' please read 'buddy'

Igor thought bushcrafters would be uncomfortable in unspoilt jungle with mangroves and seafront and no facilities. Reminded me of Brer Rabbit telling Brer Fox not to throw him in the brier patch. That was the 'convincing' part

Oh rats! As a confirmed ground dweller it looks like I've condemned myself to hanging from a couple of trees!

Double rats! I just remembered about these -

    Paul
