just got my nice new pukko today - thanks Jack, just in time for a my day of collecting logs, so get to play in the wood.

Has a nice feel to the knife, especially as I small hands and find many handles too big to be really comfortable.

Anyway my question is what oil to use on the blade to keep rust away. I was thinking possibly of gun oil. Anyone got any other suggestion - I'd like not use non-mineral oils as I'll be doing food with it (don't like the taste). Had considered using high quality hemp oil or almond oil, would that do the job

I think BAHDog is right on the mark (as usual). I use clarifified butter a lot because it's what I carry when I'm backpacking.
