    Default Tribal Journeys.

    Tribal Journeys.

In each episode an explorer visits one of the many tribes threatened by an encroaching 'developing' world.
[A bit like an older, grittier version of Bruce Parry's Tribe.]

In the first Video the team of Jean-Pierre Dutilleaux explorer and ethnographer had the privilege of contact, deep in the jungle, with The Toulambi tribe, of Papua, New Guinea, who had never seen a white man, or had any involvment with the outside world.

They did not believe in the existence of the white man and when they see Jean-Pierre they think he is the living dead.
You can see in their faces the fear, and distrust and much astonishment.

The unsuspecting Britons spoke of such novelties as civilisation, when in fact they were only a feature of their enslavement.

Only watched the first one. Brilliant.
He who says, "he can" and he who says "he can't" are both usually right.
