Sad news, one of the drivers at work was in the area and saw them flying by, BBC radio 4 were reporting it and saying the pilot had survived.

From what i have heard, witnesses are saying it looks like the pilot stayed with the aircraft and steered it away from Throop village and again steered it away from people on the river bank, there are also reports that he declared a Mayday shortly before, but details are on this are sketchy, the guy is a hero in all sense of the word, as he knew what was coming. RIP

Our condolences go to his family.

After reading some of the reports he could have easily ejected and lived but he chose to stay with his aircraft to ensure the safety of the people on the ground .

    A true hero !!
