With Andy's permission I can now add that I'll very shortly be the proud owner of this beauty....just awaiting leather for the sheath. I'll give my first impressions the day it arrives then a few more once I've used it a bit.

I said earlier I'd give first impressions when this knife turned up. Well, first impression, awesome. It's a beast of a thing. Weighty in hand and solid as a rock. The scales are very slightly rough. I prefer very smooth scales but as Andy pointed out to me, with a knife this big and heavy, a glossy handle could result in blisters. I'll leave it as is for now and see how I go.
    Great work Andy.
