Saw this little midden of snail shells from where a bird (perhaps thrush or blackbird) has been using the stone as an anvil to break them open.

Think it'd be safe to call it a Song Thrush and anvil.

If it is Thrush then it's good to know. I certainly don't see them with any regularity these days.
