Thread: NE Meet 3 - September

    Hi Hi,

I am ok for Sat & Sun -

does Sunday mean just Sunday day... or does it mean Sunday night and leave on Monday?

I have had a look a Haddo house on google earth - where abouts will the camp site be?

[I have tried to upload an image from google earth of haddo house/ grounds - I don't know if it has worked but I'll post anyway. If anyone is able to draw a circle around the likely spot and re-post it, it will help me find the place when I turn up]

    cheers all,

looking forward to sleeping outside for the first time in a loooong while..

Nice one Damo, congratulations, now you'll have even less money and time.... but on the upshot you'll have loads of fun

    Hi mousey

It is planned that we leave on Sunday evening, I would contact CBJ directly if you plan to stay sunday night.

Here is a map Pandabean made for the last meet at haddo, we will be in the same area tho it is no longer fenced off.

Hi Mousey thanks for the update,
We will have to break camp on Sunday as that is when the event is in there books but theres no rush to get going early.
If you could give me a time you expect to arrive on Saturday I will come up to the carpark to meet you.

    Don't know the time.

my missus is working sat morning, gonna leave her with the car and take bus to oldmeldrum, then walk up from there [6ish miles apparently] so about 3 hrs after getting off @ oldmeldrum. don't know what bus I'll get- depends on weather/ wife/ kids/ dogs/ packing/ if I spot anything interesting on the way and stop to watch it/ etc

in short [hopefully] a quite while before dark...

I am having to go offshore next week and don't get back until the Friday. No Idea if I will make it or not as my trips very rarely go to plan.
If I get back on Friday I will be along on the Saturday. Will wait and see if I stay over on the Sat night.

Been a bit bored an read over the rules and I think this one could do with an extension

•It would be wise to be carrying a torch before it gets dark! It could also be provident to put markers on your shelter so you can find it in the dark.

.....as well as being able to find it in the dark it may stop certain people tripping over the lines and losing pegs.

Looks like I'm going to make it after all - just had my boss on the phone. I'll be arriving Friday, what time do things kick off as I'll probably wander across Friday afternoon. So, bar any last minute work changes, see you a week tomorrow.
Any youngsters going along? I've got a 15 year old who may wish to attend as well.
    cheers

Good to hear you can make it Mark.
Doesnt seem like we will get the same turnout as last time though, but that shouldn't hinder us.

Hope you all have a good time and look forward to seeing the photos.

I have just found out I've been double booked for the Sunday

I think turning up late on Sat and leaving early on Sun will take all the fun out of it for me.

A bit of a pity I was looking forward to it, and meeting you. Ah well there's always the next one...
