Default My new camp cook equipment carry

When I go heavy, I go heavy...

The Red Army Ammo box although Bomb Proof is doing my back in

Whilst perusing YouTube I came across this video:

Now, my local DIY Store is closing down and had these on sale so I thought, why not?

This thing holds more than the Ammo box and is considerably lighter.

I'm still test and adjusting at the mo and it needs a Feild test.

I'll Let you know how I get on.

that's a great idea mate, that red box just about did for you last weekend, and it completely defeated the table!

you need to find some spice pots that'll fit in the little yellow semi-circle bit now

Good idea Stuart, but I think my food items will stay in the Zarges box for now

Maybe batteries, lighters, matches, plasters etc?

But at least the repair held up for the rest of the weekend... though we didn't really stress it with Martins red box

... If it does well I may well be going to see what the local DIY stores are doing as well

What sort of price did you pay for them?

nice idea martin, I,ve not long bought one of these myself from B&Q, think it was £20. I bought to consolidate all my other tool boxes and keep all my tools together. I did think about it for shrafting, but wasn’t sure about the ground clearance underneath the box, also the wheels are fairly small, I thought maybe swapping them with golf cart wheels or something similar, may be easier over woodland terrain, paths etc. Would like to know how it performs.

    Well, back from this Meet:

    http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=75616

Boxes worked well, stored loads of extra equipment, covered the ground well into the area were lighter and easier to move. I will be sticking to this system for a while.
