Default Craeg's GB SFA & Folding Saw Carrier

    Hi All

I have made this for a chap on this forum and it is my design for carrying an axe, GB SFA & a folding saw carrier. There is a similar product available from RM, which uses para-cord to carry and a bit of leather thong to close but I was asked to make a better one , what do you think?

It is made from a combination of bridle & shoulder leather and heavy olive green canvas. The straps are 3/4in bridle leather that are stitched and copper rivetted for additional strength and all the saddle stitching is 18/3 doubled linen and 60lb art sinew.

The closing peg is made from a piece of seasoned cherry which has been oiled with walnut oil to preserve and bring out the grain.

It can be carried with the axe head up or down and will take the folding saw that the customer specified and I think it will take any folding saw.

Also in the photo is my axe mask also for the same customer

    Any comments welcome

Some pics here mate, these were just to see how it all went together really. MkII is 15oz green canvas but I still need to think about the fastenings and some leatherwork.
