Maybe an idea. We could get a couple of rabbits for friday then Bambi for Sat night.
Whats everyone else think?
Are there dates yet? Need to inform SWMBO that I'll be out in the woods that evening.
Good point need to book the time off myself. How about June time?
Hi,
If at all possible I would really love to come along to a meet in the woods! I'm based in the New Forest. And we have a woodland ish campsite wear I live although it is mostly
birch and pine.

June that's almost a next year. I was think more March/ April. Although I am busy most weekends in March teaching Bushcaft and first aid.
How are people fixed for April/May?
Molly your more than welcome to join us.
I can do any weekend really, as long as I keep the wife happy in the meantime![]()
First weekend of June is a no-go for me due to the wilderness gathering, apart from that I'm easy
I'll wait see what date everyone agrees on and then see if I can go or not...
However I would be biased towards 14th - 15th April or the last 3 weekends in May (12-13th, 19-20th, 26-27th). June wise, it's so long away.... but any time.
I'd like to chat to a friend or two of mine who I think would be interested also.
Just noticed this thread, awesome.
If getting a location is problematic there is a place near us North Hampshire, we use it for Scouts annual meets, survival stuff and the like, if there is interest I'll get prices.....but from memory it was £5 pp pn.
Otherwise count me in, Bambi roast is a great idea......
Cheers
Tom
How does 20th to 22nd April suit people?
Dates are good for me ATM, just dependant on location and costs![]()
I still need to book the dates off from work at present but them seem to be the best dates that suit most so far.
Dates are fine with me
Leonidas either a couple of posts up or down depending on your settings,

That looks better epecialy if only £5 pppn. I presume it has some facilitys being Scoutgrounds and the fires have to be raised?
I was possibly offered a Scout ground yesterday but there isn’t much in the way of woodland and no fire pits only raise fires.

I haven't had a reply back from the Basingstoke site yet so the scout ground sounds good.
Not too sure about the days as its my birthday that weekend, I will see if the wife has planned anything but pencil me in for now.
I'll start another thread to keep all the info tidy.

Any more news on the venue for the meet yet folks?
Are we looking for certified camp sites (that allow fires etc) or just some woodland to go play in?
My mate knows the local farmers, and one of them owns woodland. If there's no news on the other sites then I can get the details and ask if we can use his site for a couple of nights?
I think a back up plan would be good but preferably a site with facilitys like running water and toilet if posible.
Just looked at the Inwood / Forgewood site - they don't open until 04th May 2012. Shame as that place looks idea. Struggling to find campsites that allow fires and are in / around woodland - I'll keep looking though![]()
