    Default wanted a wood carving knife and a spoon knife

    swap for anything of similar value i have for sale in the classifieds

    from what i read a Erik Frost 106 Woodcarver is good for a beginner like myself?

    I have the 106 woodcarver and it feels good in the hand to use.

    I've just finished my first ever spoon; a rather nice (if slightly lopsided) teaspoon even if I do say so myself.

    I used the 106 and then a Mora 164 crook knife. I was impressed with how much fine control on a small bowl the 164 gave me. Just those two tools are capable of all sorts of projects for a beginner (like me).

    I have a Mora 106 (which I use most), a Mora 120 and a pair of Dave Budd crook knives

    Still head over heels for them - and un use, the handles are the perfect size! They came out with me to Dartmoor and saw use in the spoonmaking marathon - I want to do a few bits to finish it, but I hope to post a pic of my effort soon
