The Disposal Services Authority would like to bring to your attention, the sale by competitive tender of three Type 42 Destroyers, HMS Exeter, HMS Southampton and HMS Nottingham. They are currently classed as Hulks, sound for towing, the purchaser being responsible for verifying safe towing condition.

Displacement: 3600 tons
Estimated Metal Weight: Ferrous - 2260 tons average per ship
Non-Ferrous in hull etc - 128 tons (inc. copper cable ex insulation)
Ballast: Lead - 15 tonnes, Cast Pig Iron - Exeter 64 tonnes, Southampton 77 tonnes, Nottingham 64 tonnes.

Length OA: 125.7m
Draught: 6.7m max, 3.9m mean.
Beam: 14.3m.
Height: 35m keel to topmast.

Engines: Removed.
Generators and Pumps: Generally not maintained or removed.

yes but they have no engines

and I doubt they convert to sail very well.

Would make nice houseboats though
