I'm very tempted; just got to work out the logistics with Mrs DHD. Will try to post a definite answer this evening

    UPDATE: Change in venue

Despite telling me any time before April would be fine, Ashwood are now saying that they are 'resting' their woods and don't want people camping there yet...

Following some PMs to/from Kepis, I think this is a better proposal?

Okay, following some further info from Kepis and a really generous offer from Wowo who I'd also contacted, I think the latter is the better option!

So (hopefully for the final time and if no-one has any objections), new venue details as follows:

    Wowo
    (near Haywards Heath / Uckfield)

    Directions
    http://www.wowo.co.uk/

Costs: £10 per person (plus an overall pitch fee of £20 to be split between everyone)
    - they have very kindly offered a deal to pay only half the usual fee for their woodland pitches!

    - I believe they can supply firewood at £5 per load, or we are able to bring our own, so if anyone can oblige?

Can you please confirm if you will be attending by this evening (if possible) so I can let them know numbers?

Pinky and I will be driving down and should hopefully be there (traffic depending) by 1.30pm-ish. Pinky is un-missable!!

In case anyone is interested, Wowo have a couple of short Bushcraft taster days running on Saturday - a short introduction to bushcraft, and a primitive weapons one.

If you would be interested in attending any of them, please let me know and I'll inform them of numbers!

I'm aiming to get there for lunchtime(ish) and will have one/possibly two others with me.
From previous experience - there are normally lots of skills to be shared by those attending at these type of events.
    Looking forward to it.

Just wanted to say Thanks to everyone who attended, as I had a really nice time. The choice of campsite was great with good pitches, interesting neighbours and good weather. It was good to meet you all and put some faces to people's usernames as it was a pleasure to meet you all. Hopefully this will be the first of many local meets, as it would be nice if we can get something happening every month or so (if there is a demaind for it).
