Default Wilkinsons Wilko Folding Pruning Saw

OK it's no Laplander, but it has a folding high carbon steel blade, and decent toothy bite and it only cost £3.48 for that price it's going in my bimble bag :-)

Not sure if they are in all Wilkinsons stores but well worth a look, can be found in the gardening section.

I've had one of those for 3 years now, still works fine. It's not a Laplander or a Silky as you say but they're fine for what they are. Just don't forget to give it a coat of oil now and then as it's carbon...

If its the same as the once I had (grey handle with a funny locking mechanism) keep an eye on the plastic round the pivot hole as mine cracked and failed after very little use.

Mine is one of the green ones. Works fine. Holding up ok after several uses.

All I've had to do with my grey handled one is tighten the bolt holding the blade in and oil it, no cracking yet. As I've had it so long I might get a new one this year and pass the old one on to my son. Shame some sound better than others...
