    Right Gang.......News! as in my report had a successful trip out on Saturday!

    However, the landowner paid us a visit, as I expected (wanted to see what this Hammock thing is all about!) and chatting with him, understandably is only happy with 3/4 people in the wood at one go, so this site is a no goer....

    But we have sewn the seed of thought have we not, so I am looking at other sites in the Yorkshire area with mountainm and resnikov, but if you have any thoughts or ideas then please speak up!

    Sorry this has hit the glitch............but lets continue with the gathering, just elsewhere!!

    Scout camps are an obvious choice - there're a couple in the area which have indicated they are willing to consider small groups. I'm also in contact with an ex-landlord regarding a location between Knottingley and Selby - early stages yet.

    do we have any other locations in the area that we could use, maybe some farm woodland at another location??????

    Not unless we all pretend to be cubs, scouts, guides or brownies...

    There is one thought - I know a place where you can pay to overnight camp and fish - dunno if they'd offer a discount for just camping and not fishing - I'll look into it. We'd be sharing the venue with a bunch of carp fishermen though.
