    Default Werewolve or Vampire?

Coming off the Fear of the dark thread..

    What's your preferred predator?

I'd like to be a werewolf, always loved them, like I do dogs and wolves.

Vampires have always seemed too sly for me...

Eating some good meat for a meal instead of some 'soup' appeals too.

Please move if not in correct category.

Well, I'd have to say Vamp. Live for ever ( bar unfortunate accidents involving sunshine, stakes and fires) strong, cool and stylish. Werewolves.. hmm. once every 4 weeks for 3 days of mindless terrorising (a bit like Neds / Chavs I guess) or worse, what if you were a wolf for most of the time and only human for 3 days? Actually that might be a bonus...

I'd say werewolves, vampires are gay sparkly things that want to suck your blood and other stuff...just not my cup of tea really.

Depends which "rules" apply - which fictions are the source of your Lore.

Werewolf would only be good if you kept your own mind so that you could appreciate and enjoy it. But in most stories it doesn't work that way. You'd have the worry that you'd hurt or even kill someone.

Vamps on the other hand are nearly always cool and charismatic and yes, they do seem to get way more sex!

Health and Safety for Werewolves? A bit like giving a tank an ASBO but there you go.

Can't be doing with the black cloak/red velvet thang. At least Werewolves get a battle cry.

I like the idea of Health & Safety regulations for supernatural creatures. - having to write up Risk Assessments before going out on the prowl.!

Most literature, films, tv has vamps as sexy and alluring and werewolves as a bit rough. Though of course that also has it's appeal!

JonathanD I think I'm going to have to be a werewolf after all. Looks like I'd have to get a new hairdo to be a vampire and I've never got used to high heels either!

I'd have to be a vampire, the whole vampire story is very sensual, meeting a woman, the 'close encounter' leaving her totally drained and unable to move...crikey, I must already be a vampire

    No. Both are lame.

    I much prefer real myth.

Like, say, introducing one of my boastful virgin friends to a unicorn

    And seeing what happens!

    You know a Virgin?

    They actually exist? Wow...

depends what sort of werewolf, if its one of those silly teen wolf types then ill go with the vampire, if its somthing more like off underworld i guess it would be bloody fun.

vampires seem a bit gay, i dunno,no sunlight or food, that would drive me nuts, and killing people in the same way for thosands of years would get so boring.

Depends which vampire you are mate. Many authors have them walking around in daylight no problem at all. Although, living forever isn't really appealing.

We do indeed. i reckon i'd go for the vamp thing, its the tortured loner existence through the ages i find appealing. although i'd have to start my own clubs and find idiotic willing participants to donate blood. after all stalking around at night is dangerous, someone might try to i dunno hunt you down...

i like the idea of seeing the world change, but according to some lore you may have issues with sunlight, holy ground, garlic, silver, running water, oceans, cats, crucifixes and dodgy old men with stakes. i wonder in fact how a vamp would handle being within a space faring race? i.e. in the future we actually find a way to travel properly amongst the stars, there's no way to stop the sunlight/radiation up there!

No doubt they will have invented a high factor sunscreen especially for vamps by then, so don't worry.

Boiler suits and welders mask, that would work, would a vampire need any kind of protectio/breathingsystem in space, lets assume the sun thing was sorted could they just go around jumping from one lump of debris to another?
