just out of curiosity what air rifle you going to get? i just splashed out on a weihrauch hw95k with nikkon stirling scope its a lovely spring rifle

I have an an old BSA lightning, last night I re zeroed it with a new (old) scope. Amazing springer, worth hunting down and in .22 it packs a hell of a punch to the old bunnies.

a local gunsmith is selling one with an awesome scope 4-9x40 with mounts for £190! Worth it?

Sounds OK, bit more than I paid - but the scope is bigger and mine was off BB; no business costs - I'd take it, you'll be able to move it on if it isn't your thing.
