    im pretty sure, although they dont look it they are quite wide. the bag is 36in. wide so I think the flap is about 24in?

    Yeah but for the specific dutch army closed cell mat. This mat is smaller than a usual, e.g. thermarest, mat.

    My 24 year old genuine Thermarest Expedition mat fits perfectly.
    Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not Happy.

    Nice one, I will measure it properly if anyone is interested? I mainly do one or two nights so I normally do without a mat.

    I'm in the dutch army and yes, this is the dutch army bivibag.
    I you want the sleepingmat, you can maybe order it very cheap or find it at ebay to...

    But.. I think.. a good termarest will sleep mutch better

    That's a good bit of kit jonnie it looks plenty big enough too.
