Default finaly got myself a draw knife

several bootfairs after kicking myself for not buying a near perfect condition drawknife for £15 i found this for £2 patience does pay off

drawknives are not really 'bushcraft tools' in the sense that you would take one with you to the woods but more for the home workshop or permanent log cabin shelter tool to make items like buck saw frames, axe handles, furniture, skis etc.

the round handles are surprisingly comfortable

i imagine the curvature has a certain use or advantage? not sure

it is made by peugeot freres. the bevel is pretty rough at the moment but the edge is good

i tested it on some fairly seasoned birch and it cuts like a dream! so little effort and so much control

it is VERY good for making feathersticks lol

very nice westnorfolk. looks more like the one i was going to buy, it had a fancy concaved area behind the edge.
