Very unusual design. Looks more comfortable when using the knife blade, but perhaps less so in the pliers position. I've owned a few leatherman tools: the pulse, supertool 200 and juice kf4. I wasn't blown away by the 1st two, largely due to weight, and inaccessibility of the tools (both things that the freestyle seems to address), but the juice was great up until the moment I lost it... Legal for edc (which the freestyle isn't due to its locking blade), but strong springs holding open all of the tools, including the pliers, and a lovely smooth action. Also all of the tools are accessable without having to open the pliers. All in all very good, although a bit more pricey than the freestyle.

But as you will have spotted I have never handled or even seen a freestyle... so just my musings.
