hi i been to cod beck a couple of times ,,,, would love to camp near there too kids loved it last time they were up there ,,,where is camp at ,,can a car and trailer get there ???
It was the case that you could camp for free at the Lord Stones if you used the cafe. Not sure if this is still the case as this was a couple of years ago.
And hello Arnie.
Hello am from Darlo and aint been to lord stones for a couple of years be nice to go back and meet ya all
Welcome mate good to see another northeasten'er
my god my country and my harley Davidson not necessarily in that order
Thankyou there are a few of us now
All we need now is a date, preferably when i'm not headshedded from working nights
not over May Day week end please as a few of us are on Hodge trip, but any other time/date would be great.
I'm unavailable most of May due to commitments.
Might have a weekend free in May, i'll have to double check. Until they get my shifts rota sorted at work i'm screwed unless i'm donkey whalloping
Lord Stones Cafe sounds like a plan to me. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see when this is likely to happen.
I am pretty flexible (not in the yoga sense) so will be happy to go with the flow whether its a daytime meet for a brew and a bimble of an overnighter. If anyones keen on organising a mini meet there are 2 sites (camping only) in Goathland that I think allow fires!
Anyway get some dates organised and we can have a crack at it.
camping at G/land with a fire sounds good, or Lord Stones. a mini meet to say hello and a bit of a natter would be good, even a 1 nighter on a Friday or Saturday night.
What date would be good for most of us.
any weekend but May bank holiday is good for me.
Hello folks. Not around much at moment as I'm extremely busy. Just thought I would mention.
Hi all, I'm up in Saltburn, well thats where home is but I work away most of the time at the moment.
Might settle down at some point so I can see more of the family and come out to meet everyone who shares a similar interest.
Billingham over here
Hi Kroozin, pretty close to a few of us if you`re in Billingham, will have to have a get together soon while the good weather is here
yeh that sounds like fun i regularly visit a place called charlton's pond in Billingham to fish, but i try to make cordage, tent pegs, and other basic stuff while im waiting for the fish to bite.
Are we any closer to getting a date and location then for a bit of a north east mini meet? Not been on for a while so apologies if i have missed anything.
I'm up in Northumberland. Would love a meet up at some point. Rancid Badger seems to be quite active in Chopwell woods but never been able to get to the events there so far.
Did many other North Easterners get down to the moot this year?
I would have to seriously chastise some of you, who now live in Yorkshire, and have answered to a thread suggesting you live on the 'wrong side of the border'
The unsuspecting Britons spoke of such novelties as civilisation, when in fact they were only a feature of their enslavement.
Tacitus. The Agricola
Yep, I'm Darlington way. (Piercebridge to be more precise) Just in the process of moving there from Richmond.
I posted a thread about this in the out & about section and can't believe i missed this lol.
I have several Large permissions down this way which i use for deer stalking and other game shoots. I'm cleared for camping/bushcraft type weekends if any of you lads fancy joining. My permissions spread from Barnard Castle way all the way down to the outskirt's of Darlington.
Could be the makings of something decent!
I'm another exile. From Durham (Witton Gilbert) originally, relocated to Bradford
