if there is an interest in building shelters/hides i have a very long roll of green netting that would be perfect for adding your own material to, bracken, branches, moss, etc. it`s about 6` wide, full of holes, and can be cut to length. This is also strong enough to make your own hammock from with para cord sown through the ends. also makes great camo scarves, etc. there would be a small charge for the netting but you can keep it after the trip.

quick question for those interested in this one, is there anything in mind for the weekend that i might need to get permission for ?
    air rifles are sorted.
    shelter building is ok.
berch sap tapping ok if you know what you are doing.
target shooting, air gun, cross bow, long bow, OK but has to be set up and organised correctly.
open fire & cooking ok around 1 central main fire. ( other cooking on stoves, etc, off the ground ok).
so is there anything else i need to sort out for you guys & gals??

sorry to hear that Shewie, i`m going to try out my new gear on this trip, ie; hammock & basha, well for at least one night anyway as the Mrs will not be happy in the tent on her tod for more than one night. lol.

looks like we are down to a dirty half dozen then for this one, but it`s going to be fun either way and i`ll be trying out my new hammock & basha so that could be great or not so great, but it`ll be worth a laugh at least.

need to be keeping an eye on the weatherman for this, the long range forecast so far is for rain over the whole w/e in this area, not looking good but there is time for this to change yet.

sad news i`m afraid, the camp site has changed owners, the house & land have been sold to a holiday let company so i no longer have permission for the place, i`ll have to call this one off unless i can find an alternative venue quickly. really sorry folks.

it is a shame, i`m digging around for a new spot, there`s a good chance i will be able to use a farmers field at the Staveley end of the lakes, Style End south end of Gatescarth Pass, a few trees, a stream, a dry wall for a wind break and fires will be OK. I`ll keep you posted on this
