    Just read in the local paper that some *?##s have set fire to one of the huts at Middlemud.

    I dont know why some people have to spoil it for others.

    maybe there is an opportunity here...maybe we could propose to have another weekend meet with extra money going towards the repairing the hut?

    EDIT: why would there be a full drum of diesel in a scout storage hut?

    I'd recommend using a few shipping containers to replace the hut. They are easily fitted out and don't burn and you can make them as secure as you feel necessary.

    What size was the original hut?

    As said above - the words that spring to mind would be a moderators nightmare!!!
