    Bought one of these on a whim as it was only £4 in my local diy store.

    Looks a nice size and weight, did it come sharp? Most cheap axes are remarkably good but need significant time on the grinder to put a good cutting edge on them.

    If its anything as good as their splitting maul.. get it.
    Best £15 I ever spent and I use it very regularly and in a rather robust manner!

    No edge is very poor with a resin on the edge from the rubber cover. dont mind spending time on sharpening.
    I did the balance test and it falls head end.
