    Default Ponden Kirk

Well it's rained the last few days and the forcast is for more
right into next week so seeing a gap in the clouds this morning
I headed off to park the van at the end of Ponden reservoir

and headed up to Ponden Kirk Lat 53*49' 28.6"N - Long 2*1'55.5"W

Penistone Crag in Emily Brontė’s “Wuthering Heights” is usually identified with Ponden Kirk,
and the hole is thus the “fairy cave” where Hareton courted the younger Cathy.

Dinner was Sild in t.sauce on my home made bread with some of the last of Brendas cherry tomatoes
    and a Lavazza espresso coffee.

The stoves a Borde petrol stove from Switzerland running on Panel wipe and the coffee pot is an Italian Lavazza
with Lavazza coffee - So dinner in style apart from the scruffy bear

I just got back down the hill to the reservoir as it started to rain
so all in all a good day out
    cheers all Danny

    Default Borde stove

Hi EdS it was a few years ago brand new on E-bay and no one else bid
it was listed under motorcycle accessories and not under stoves
I only came across it by chance looking for some saddle bag/panniers for my Enfield.
When they come up listed under stoves I've seen second hand ones go over £200
    cheers Danny

    Default day trip

is your bear wearing a ventile jacket? And one other piece of advice, if you were the group leader for this trip, please make sure on a day like this, that your bear is wearing a hat as well as a stout pair of walking boots!!!!

P.S Looked a good day out, all the best

    Col....
