Arrow NaturalBushcraft Meet - Oct 2009

NaturalBushcraft Meet at Woodland Valley, Ladock, Cornwall.

    Sat 24th, Sun 25th, Mon 26th October 2009

    - All ages & new-comers are very welcome
    - Dogs allowed, but have to be controlled at all times (nearby farmer has a reputation for shooting at them!)
    - Costs: £5 Per Person Per Night or £2.50 each-day for day-visitors. This purely covers your own rent which is paid to the landowner (NaturalBushcraft takes no money for these events).

As always we welcome all new-comers to join us in this friendly atmosphere of likeminded Bushcraft people, sharing knowledge, skills and good-times as freely as posible. There's no set demonstrations or classes, yet there will still be tons to learn like Fire by Friction (Firebows), cooking bannock, making pot hangers, all are encouraged to join in if they wish to and I will bring along spare kit for people to use.

There is a 'Doodle' where you can put your name down and see who else is coming, check-out the Doodle on the NaturalBushcraft events page here.

Of course you can come It'll be good to meet new characters I still haven't met with properly yet.

Just wondering if it's worth doing a facebook event for this too Ash? There's a few of the old hats I've not seen on the forums for a while, it might be worth getting the word out, the'll not get an alert for this thread as it's a new one.

I'm desperate to make this one, miss you guys! I'm up in welsh wales now so it may be a bit of a mission, but if I do make it, I should potentially be bringing two others. Steve may not make it, depends if he's taking a Trueways course or not

    Arrow Chatroom Meeting - Mon 18th 8pm

    Hi Folks,

Now I know this is a bit geeky but we're trying some new!.. a pre-virtual meet!

No honestly, for all those who think they may attend the meet we are trying to get as many of you as we can to hook up in the NaturalBushcraft Chatroom around 8pm on Mon 18th. We thought it'd be fun to discuss what we might get up to on the day, creating ideas allowing people to think what they might bring to show and share. So, if your free for a while on Monday evening, drop by the Chatroom at 8pm for a laugh. You can get to the chatroom by choosing it from the menu on NaturalBushcraft. More info about the virtual-meet on the events-page: http://www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk/ev...-24th-26th-Oct
    Speak to you all soon!
    Regards, Ashley Cawley

    Chris.
Chris, you'll be fine ground-dwelling there. Its also suitable for Hammocks and if you like I can bring a spare one for you to try? Just let me know and I'll be more than happy to lend you a hammock.

As for a mob no. im sure Martin (Saint) will drop you his, im sure he knows the roads round that way better than I and im notorious for not having my phone on me whilst in the woods.

Speak to you Monday evening bud

Thanks mate,a go in a hammock would be great!! (First time!)
If it is not too much trouble, then yes please!!
So tarp and sleeping bag,how about a mat?
    Thanks again.
    Chris.

Yeah I was just gona recommend a roll-mat. The evenings are getting a lot nippier now and it can get chilly on the underside of a hammock, so a roll-mat would still be advised.
