Default Retailers Race To The Backwoods

Noticed how easy it is to start your own bushcraft business? You can't pick up a shooting publication these days without seeing someone new offering a course with suitably crusty looking chap blowing on his embers! Then there is the walk out our shop a Ray Mears clone offer care of helpful bushcrafter packages!

"A box of No.7's and something new for the weekend Sir? Perhaps this delightful micata handled knife, just like the great man uses, or an earthy New Zealand wool shirt? And don't forget our cool range of wide-brimmed hats just perfect for walking the dog."

The latter they never of course mention being useless if wishing to turn your head whilst driving a Land-Rover Defender!

That's progress and diversification for you I guess!

    Cheers

When did a Landy driver ever turn their head?

I like to use something a little less "crusty"...

I suppose the next step will be NVQ training and regulation...and before long we'll be in the realm of the scout movement...

Looks like there is a market for those crusty looking chaps then. Nothing wrong in selling ones "experience" to anyone who are willing to pay for it.

That said, one are probably better off searching for information on the internet, reading books, and then go practice on ones own, than to pay for many of those courses offered in those magazines.
