    Default Where next?

    Was good to meet up.
As everybody's in agreement it was a strange pub, should it be that the next meet be somewhere weirder? We must make it our mission to frequent the strangest ale houses in Devon! Suggestions?????
Looking forward to the next one, Harry.

there are lots of strange pubs near chagford, but I don't know the Sun Inn?

Ref meet up, Happy to come if I can make it.

Littlebiglane - I think meet up wise we may just start to play it by ear for the moment , if we can get a few people to have this rv at Dave Budds place intially then we can discuss things further and see how it all evolves.

I guess the next and best step forward would be for Mr Budd to offer up some dates when its convenient with him for the land to be used? I assume some dates will suit him better in ref to running courses etc.

So if Dave would like to throw a few dates in the air we can then all see if we can all fit it in.

Hmm?, Timeframe wise I would suggest we leave it for a few weeks too enable people to sort out there admin and for all the married guys to stick a req in for a short leave of absence.

Once I know a date that you are happy with and the majority that met up can attend i will drop a PM to all the other devon based forum members who showed initial interest in the Pub meet but could not make it, And if it acceptable to you give them a bit of an Invitation to join us to swell the ranks a little?

Does that sound ok? Don't want to come over as pushy....

Sounds like a good plan, I'm not sure if dave has a maximum number of people on site or not?
I have the RV in Cornwall at easter but apart from that, SWMBO allowing, I'm open as far as date.
Oh I have just been informed my mother will be down for her yearly inspection on the a/end of the 2nd of may!

does that mean you want and excuse to get away on the 2nd of may?

Unfortunately I'm working all over that bank holiday, so I can't help you mate

I'll be working as an psudo-celtic blacksmith for a live action role play group near Okehampton, The Dumnonni Chronicles have their big Outlaw bash and along with a group of others I create background atmosphere while 'fixing' broken rubber armour

Bank Hols are definitely out for me because of work.
My customers are tourists so I need to be around when they are.

Any other weekends are no problem except for during the school summer hols, when I have more chance of being handcuffed to a ghost than getting a weekend off.

Dave , My advice would be to just pick a date that you are happy with, It tends to be sods law that you want be able to get everyone together on a given date.

I think teedee's right, dave if you come up with a date that sits well with you and a max on people, and we'll see who can make it! Hopefuly it will not be the last time we get a meet sorted so if some of us can't make the date then hopefully they can make the next!

dates are easy to pick for me (though I will have to fetch my diary). Basically it would be the ONLY day(s) I'm not already booked to teach or demonstrate this side of september!

will get dates in a bit
