opinel sharpening?

How do you sharpen an opinel?? Can I use my waterstones???

I use a sharpmaker - works a treat - as would waterstones if I weren't such a lummox with them.

what sourt of grind/bevel do they have on them???

I just Hoodoo'd mine, and with it being such a thin blade just strop it to a really sharp edge.

They come with a very fine secondary bevel as far as I know

I use one a lot for carving/sticking my finger with

A little DC4 stone sticks a shaving sharp edge on in minutes....

I have in the past, given mine a rub with a file and then polished on a sharpening steel. Left it shaving sharp.

Yes, and once they are sharp, you'll only ever need to strop them to keep that way. I sharpened my No6 to a hair popping edge, 18 plus months ago, Now after each use I strop, and the blade is "told you it was sharp" sharp.
