Are there any people out there that would like to get together and buy a wood in the midlands. Does anybody know of any other groups that are already getting together to share the costs of owning a wood.
Hi Andyhunter and welcome to the site. I'd suggest that you do a search on this which will allow you to catch up on t he conversations so far, it's been discussed quite a bit although nothing has ever happened because it's a very complicated process, you'd be dealing with multiple people and multiple legalities as well as finding the money to even get the woodland. There's also issues with how the woodland would be maintained and what it's going to be used for, access, camping, water, activity rights, grants etc etc
Don't get me wrong, it's doable but it would have to be done properly (another expense) and it would take quite a while to organise.
Like I said, have a look through the old threads about it.
