    Default BIG dog!

    Was out for a wander the other day with the kids on the dog walking path that runs round the estate where Iive. Anyway, we came across this;

    Now I know it's only a dog print, but that's a 2p coin! That makes the print about 80% the size of a full grown male wolfs print!!

    So what sort of dog has feet that big????

    To name a few it could be something like a Alsatian, Great Dane, Irish Wolfhound and any one of a number of other lage dogs

    Not necessarily a massive dog,
    but probably a heavy one. As the footprint is being impressed, the top surface of the soft mud is pushed further out as the deeper mud rises below it - often leading to a print of deceptive size. Think how big your footprints are when walking in slushy snow.
    The print is undoubtably from a large dog, but nothing that is out of the ordinary as far as pets go these days.

    My setters have big paws - on mid 30kgs body weight. Leaves a hell of a track but less impressive when you catch up with em.
