stove door seal

Im going to start my tipi stove tomorrow and the only thing i am unsure about is a door seal.
Does anyone know where i can get some of that material that used to be put round oven doors.
It used to look like a woven synthetic asbestos.

Most places that sell fires, wood burning stoves and the like should stock fire rope on the roll.
