    Default How old BCUK?

How long has BCUK been on the go? Reason for asking is that I just looked up the profile of someone near me and it says they joined in 1970. Can that be true?

Tjis occurred a while back and Tony explained why as I recall. I think he even gave us a behind the scenes look at what Mods and Admin do, extra buttons they have and the like.

BcUK was created in 1873. Tony is a very old man!

Yes, I've already contacted the Oxford English Dictionary for the new way to spell "this"!

They won't change it, they're very stubborn.

The site came live after the concept of BushcraftUK was born, we started with the magazine/newsletter trying to get that going and then realised that we needed a site so the site was worked on and put up. I'm not sure about that 2001, I think it was 2002, I should look at that. April 13th is the birthday for the site.

To start with we were using phpbb and then moved to vBulletin, this changed some of the initial dates of threads and members. I'm number six because there's admins before my username, and as we've rebuilt it changes etc.

    OFF TOPIC
The thread title : How old BCUK?
reminds me of a telegram sent to Cary Grant when he was very old by a an enquiring journalist.
CG wrote back in a telegram: Cary Grant fine. How you!

I first joined in December 02 but had to re-join in July 2003, I think thats when the forums went to vBulletin. There were very few people on then.
