    Default World Pooh sticks championship

If you have kids and want something to do this Sunday and don't live too far from Oxford there's the 25th World Pooh stick championships this Sunday at Days Lock if you're interested. Maybe fun for the little 'uns.

Looks a bit Disney Pooh to me, I like my Pooh to be the Milne and Shepard variety. When I lived in Kent and worked as a National Trust Warden we used to take all our volunteer groups down to the real Pooh sticks bridge on their day off, brings out the kid in the hardest adult.

Maybe so Robin, I don't expect the kids will mind though. I was just pointing it out for anyone with kids and maybe an idea for an afternoon out if they live locally.

I'm not really Into Pooh (plenty of scope for a few jokes there) but I do remember watching the Disney Pooh when my son was little and thought Piglet was pretty cool

Disney is to Pooh what instant is to coffee...a travesty.

I am sure kids would enjoy this as a day out though.

We took the kids to Pooh sticks bridge in Ashdown Forest and played Pooh sticks for real.
