    Default Mild Steel Camping Tripod

    Okay follks.

Ordered a 60 inch cast iron Camp Fire Tripod back in January. It did take just over a month to come as it was not in stock. However the guy emailed me and rang me to say this was the case and did I want to continue the order. I did and they did not deduct my credit card until they got it ready to send out. I now have it. Big and heavy. Certainly for a fixed camp or car camping. Would not fancy my chances strapping it to me to go backpacking though!

The delivery was included in the price! So £39.99 for a 60 inch and £29.99 for a 42 inch proper cast iron tripod with hook, chain and 'carry' bag must be amongst the best prices around don't you think?

As usual - no connections with company except as a customer etc. etc.

Nice one. Just a small comment though, it's made from mild steel bar, not cast iron. It's the Dutch Oven that's cast iron. A cast iron tripod would be too brittle to be of any use.

I scavanged some re-bar from the building site when we were getting the new offices built a couple of years ago and knocked one up. I used it a few times but she`s dismantled it now and uses it to prop up the runner beans.
