Thread: Braiding leather

Had a go braiding at the weekend. The equipment cost £20 and 10 for David Morgans book. It was a real success. Within a few hours I had made a new keyring and started braiding everything in the house with a hole in it :-)

some of the stuff I managed. I am going to try 6 or 8 strand plait next. If you have ever considered having a crack at this I think you should, it's easy to get something that looks really decent.

Thanks guys. I've still got to work out cover knots at the tassels but that has proved the hardest bit so far. You can see the wax thread at the minute and although that's not too bad it's a bit unprofessional.

Will get it cracked soon though. I've had some advice from Schwert so
    I'm half way there already.
