this is seriously off topic, but if there are any Danes out there looking in I am trying to find my godfather who we lost contact with many many years ago and was hoping if there was anyone who would know how I can go about finding him in Denmark.
Well, I have managed to find my godfather...the wonders of the internet. After 20 years of not being in contact, spoke to him yesterday - what a wodnerful experience.
Think this internet thingummy is here to stay!!!!!!!
Can I ask how you tracked him down?
My father’s family originally hail from Denmark. My father when in the navy was ashore there, and discovered my great great (great?) grandfather was a pirate, and his relatives operated and owned a shipping company. But that’s about as far as it went before his leave was up.
My surname "Rasmussen" Is apparently very common over there, so I really have no idea where to start!
Fantastic Jamie :biggthump I lost contact with my Mum for 13 years.....didn't find her in Denmark though! It's nice knowing where the family is!

Raz: Don't know if this is going to help you, but try www.eniro.dk
Go to 'Person' in top.
The site is danish, but you're right! 'Rasmussen' is one of the most used names!
Wish you luck 8-)
I started off with this http://www.denmark.org.uk/FAQ.htm#Tracing%20a%20person and then also found a site which gave me the translations for the different fields but cant find it anywhere now...will keep looking though
