Ok. It's time to get out the surgeon's hammer and get to work on the Defender.

Any of you guys know where I can get a reasonably priced set of front vents (with at least the top part of the bulkhead for cosmetic reasons) I just cant bring myself to embark on changing the whole thing.

New would be best, although undoubtedly expensive.

Maybe it will cure the leakiness

Take a trip to the salvage yards and see what they have in the crashed/rolled over department. That bit fares well in accidents (better than it does against the elements) and can be chopped off easily.

There's the Land Rover Enthusiast show at Billing coming up in mid July, that's where I try to pick up salvage bits. Or look in the specialist mags (thats specialist landy mags, not the ones off the top shelf ).

So many look, so few see.
