i heard of a wee book called 'why not eat insects'. Think it retails at about a fiver but is very specialised. Probably just some old guy printing it off in his basement!
Might have to do a bit of searching! Try ebay though or amazon.

Just found this link. think this is the whole book split into 3 sections. Published in 1885!!! Loads older than i thought!

Do a search using this reply's title mate, I led a lesson on this subject on a jungle survival course last year and there's a lot out there. A very good book is "man eating bugs"; some cultural stuff too.
