    Hi,
I have a Bahco axe which is 13/4 lbs with a 19" helve.
I reground the edge to make it thinner and give it a better cutting performance. I also removed the varnish from the helve and treated it with linseed oil.
The axe performs well. It is no Gransfors Bruks or Wetterlings but for the price it is an excellent tool.
For those unable or unwilling to pay for a hand forged axe the bahco is the next best option.
