    my lady has just started to read the laura ingalls wilder books to our daughter ,they`re the little house on the prarie books,hands up who remembers them?, anyway they are nothing like the series that was all cheesy and nice,these are top books with a lot of info in them,my daugter keeps giving us facts ,they lived all over the place and not just on the prairie including a dugout, but anyway they`re a true story about life on the frontier and how hard it was , and another pile of books for me to put on the books to read pile, cheers al :-D http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...803176-5574835

    They are a good source of info.

    I recently re-discovered Jack London.

    I love books like these - written by someone with experience of their subject and little treasure chests of tips although a little un-PC sometimes.
