    Default Good starter kit?

Take a look at this link then Knives>Knife Blade Blanks... and let me know what you think of the Lapp knife making kit (third page)?

My currency conversion might be a bit iffy but I make it about £18 so it seems like a good deal to me.

Dont know about value for money - Really for 18 quid you can't go too wrong, but I know from my first knife it will be a little bit easier to get a good fit with that kit as the blade has some ricasso (the unsharpened bit you can see at the transition from the tang to the blade_. Lots of scandi type blades are ground all the way through and a bit more fiddly.

I'd go for it if the postage isn't too steep.

Switch I reckon thats a pretty good deal. Its cheaper than a similar kit on Brisa and you'll get the chance to try your leather working skills out.

I've become a regular shopper at Dick now and have found their speed of service and delivery superb. All the gear I've ordered has been excellent.

    I'd thouroughly recommend them.

I warn you now though, buying from this site can be addictive....and detrimental to your bank balance!
