    Default GB Actresses

    Not at all the forum for such things, but if anyplace on the forum - perhaps here.

    On a recent post I listed some of our local celebrities, mostly actors and actresses, and made the comment I wouldn't cross the street to meet any of them.

    I would however, cross the street to meet Emma Thompson, Jennifer Ehle, Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley, and Rachel Weisz, all of whom, I believe, are GB actresses. Oh, and Judi Dench. They seem to have a lot more depth than most American actresses. And some of them are definitely hot!

    I'd also cross the street to meet Juliet Binoche!

    PG, Shes Dame Judi Dench now, thoroughly nice person too, had the opportunity to meet her lst year.

    Definetly cross the street to meet kierra knightly

    I probably wouldn't recognise any of 'em in the street.

    People look different off screen.I might think,"I know her,now where have I seen that face?" and that would be it.

    I thought I'd heard that, but I wasn't quite sure. Besides, I've no idea what "Dame" signifys.

    Watched "Sense and Sensibility" again recently - Emma Thompson, well, she sure knows what she is doing.

    PG, i think a Dame tittle is a female equivelant to being a Sir or a knight hood. Could be wrong though

    I'd definitely invite Judi Dench for a drink and a long, long talk. As far as I can tell, she is one of those who, although being in "showbiz" is in fact quite articulate and intelligent.

    If only she'd got together with Peter Ustinov and John Cleese in about 1978 or 1979 to form a political party, we might not be in quite the Blairish mess we're in now...

    But talking of cuties... er, I'll have to think about that.
