Just thought that I would post about my first and only experience of shopping on the Woodlore Online Shop.

On Tuesday I finally ordered a couple of the Mora Craftline HighQ Robust knives with the "30 Years of Bushcraft" special edition engraving as they were on offer and I had been meaning to buy one for some time as a standby knife.

At the same time I also ordered a 16cm Zebra Billy after seeing Copper_Head's write up of his recent jaunt to the hills which made me salivate over my keyboard whilst I read about his culinary efforts.

I ordered these at about 1400hrs. They came before 1200hrs on the following day.

I have to say it is rare these days that I receive anything in the post the day after it is sent out. Fantastic service!

Prices were pretty competative too which made this tight Yorkshireman even happier.:D

I am in no way linked to Woodlore or Mr Mears apart from being a very happy first-time customer.

Can anyone recommend a good iron fire pit / bowl? I've had a look round and it seems they are either mega expensive or flimsy and nasty!

If anyone knows where I can get my hands on a decent quality, reasonably large, no frills pit at a sensible price, I would be sooooooo grateful.

Cheers

They also have those waterproof decontamination pots for 99p at the moment.
I have just brought one of these tops and two of the pots, but I have not purchased from this store before now so I have no idea of their customer service, so caveat emptor and the usual disclaimers.

I have a friend who really doesn't like cooking with aluminum and he usually prefers copper, stainless steel, cast iron, etc. I know it is said that aluminum is okay for cooking, I use it myself, but I am not looking to invest the time in changing my friends mind. I also am not into just blackening it over the fire and trying to convince him it is something else. Does anyone have a suggestion for something similar? I have search the local shops and second hand markets but have not found it yet.
