I moved this thread coz i think it was in the wrong place

I'm rusty i'll admit it. i also am getting back into hunting. I am also going bow hunting for the first time next october in finland.
so i'm practicing stalking and hiding and all the rest of it wearing my old army smock. the British pattern I think is supposed to be one of the better ones. well I'm not sure how effective it is against the animals.
some problems with camo
I think maybe camo makes us feel invisible so we get a bit sloppy.
ex army clothing is often cotton not so good in a european wet cold environment.
it seems to freak people out. which is interesting because if you wear camo in the city noone bats an eye lid.
the first problem i'm just gonna have to deal with.
so i thought about buying some of the super american hunting stuff in wool which would stop the awful cold sweaty back problem but of course would still be camo to "joe schmo".also if i'm paying that amount of money for clothing I have to be able to wear it all the time.
So I was thinking about buying one of the cabela red plaid wool parkas they look pretty practical for wearing around town and country, the red tartan serves as good camo i hear, and no one will even blink with me me wearing one.
anyone have any experience with these kind of coats?

I can only speak about the animals here, mainly deer and elk, but they can see reflected light from your clothing, which will make you stand out like a candle in the night to them. The clothing reflects light because of the brighteners that they put into laundry detergent, as well as the materials are treated with a brightening solution. If you buy the new wool camo clothing, it will not have had brighteners added to the material, so don't clean it with anything containing phosphorus (spelling?) or any other chemical or natural ingredient that will brighten colors. Actually, the cleaning instructions will cover all that for you.

I've seen some nice wool clothing at backcountryinc.com.
