i took this pic at Crystal Cove State Beach this weekend, down by Newport Beach in southern CA. those white dots, reflections on the water in the tidepools, are in a great location in the photo.

amazing colors on the sea anenome...

I have a suspicion that the colours were even more irridescent than the camera portrays.

Nice work Storm.

Definitely gorgeous! Is that a cleaner fish in the mouth or am I just seeing things?

A truly lovely photo. Want to spill the technical beans? Camera, etc etc?

That's an excellent picture storm, did you use a polarizing filter on it or just get very close to the water?

i just used a Casio Exilim digital camera, set on Best Mode with the little flower icon engaged. that should indicate to you how inept i am with photography. the end of the lens was about an inch from the surface of the water. usually i take a bunch of photos, in different modes, and then choose whichever copy came out the best.

i don't think we have cleaner fish around here...
