Just thought you may like to see my new toys, Its a Bison Bushcraft custom 8 inch camp knife with a mountain man style scabbard and Gum burl scales and a Marbles double bitted hunters axe :D

well its good to buy yourself presents from time to time eh it relieves stress :rolleyes: ;) . (well thats my excuse any way lol :rolleyes: )

what thickness is the blade on the camp knife?

It was 5mm 01 tool steel stock but it tapers to the point and handle the handle tapers to about 3.5 mm to fit the hand better its weighted beautifuly, and its probably a maximum thickness of about 4 to 4.5 mm at the thickest point.
Hay PW those are GREAT! your very lucky! any chance of a pic of the bison in the hand.. i cant really guage the scale?

Ill do that buddy, but its a 8" blade and the handle is 4.5", ill get a pic tomorrow morning ;)

Don't know which of those I covet the most, they're both very nice.
Very 'nessmuky' and practical too.

Takes a "bit"(sorry :rolleyes: ) of getting used to from a GB its very light im thinning one edge at the mo for carving, felling, keen edge tasks and the other side im keeping for splitting logs my log pile looks like a load of match sticks at the moment lol :o
Nice tools :) . Where did you get the axe?

A good buddy of mine got them from the states and were trialing them at the mo ;) , Ive heard on BB that some companys in the states have bought a load of factory seconds and are selling them off :( some people eh!

Excellent!!!!! I really like the knife and sheath, and the ax combination. I use an antler keeper in the same way on my vest thongs Looks great Paganwolf

Looks good. I especially like the knife and sheath, but the axe is a looker too. Tell us some about the axe.
