View Full Version : London Pub Meet 4 - May
Hi All
thought I'd kick off a thread for the next one. Thursday's are now out for me, but that shoudn't be a bar on Thursdays for everyone else, take it away with your suggestions/availability.
Hi Swallow, can't do Fridays I'm affraid, but have a good one.

I wasn't suggesting Fridays, all days are still in, if it's Thursday I can't do it though.
Oh, sorry Swallow, I read the title of the thread as "Pub Meet 4th May", which is a Friday, rather than "Pub Meet Number 4. May" Hence the confusion, sorry, my mistake.
OK, how about Tues 8th, or Weds 9th?

I'm up London next Tuesday 1 May for work if anyone fancies meeting up for a drink. Should finish about 5pm so any time after that
I'm booked up after that for most of May.

Ok... any ideas where?
My meeting is by Victoria Station but that doesn't matter as I'm happy travelling to another locale :)

Excellent. See you all next Tues after work.
BTW as a follow on from a couple of meets ago, we mentioned about wild camping at Dartmoor National Park. Hemsdale has done some research into this, so let's chat about possible dates.
If you have space for another, I'd like to pop along.

I had PM'd Tim, Sandsnakes and Hemdale all together on Friday about today. Haven't heard from hemdale at all.
hehe, I leant him a scout hammock. He's probably fallen out of it and bashed his head.
I'm not going to make tonight I'm afraid - I've got telephony problems - the guy who illegally rewired it has made a complete balls of it and I've got the engineer coming over to have a look before installing VDSL. So I need to strip it out and replace it tonight before anyone notices it's been illegally and badly rewired! At least I can make it a bit better!

I do like the basic back pack. Looks like it will hold all you need for a couple of days out.

The canvas one is about 20 litres so its more of a day pack, you could do an over nighter if you have big pockets and are using very little kit. Hardcore!
The green one well i have done a 3 dayer using one, so its faily versatile. :o

Hi chaps,
Straw pole. If i can organise a spot, who is for a night out? Idea would be keep it so that its our group members only, we would have to contribute some dosh to the owner to cover his insurance, but the rest would be free.
It would be at a site near the M40 and those with cars could arrange a pick up in london at suitable tube stations.

I'm sorry I missed this. Thanks for the invitation. Next time I hope. If you like real ale there's a brilliant pub in London Bridge called The Rake. It's small but with a massive range or real and craft ales. Have a good meet everyone!
