Well look what happens when you stop bushcraft for 15 years! Bushcraft communities! Knives for £200! What's all that about? No I haven't been in a coma, I actually stopped because of the Rambo-esque/survivalist bad name people practicing bushcraft was getting, not to mention a number of other projects and a demanding new career. Shame on me eh?
I switched on the TV a couple of months ago and noticed the Mears programmes, logged on to the net and noticed that maybe things were turning out a little better for the bushcraft folk. I dug out my knife (rusty and blunt) threw the sheath away (mouldy) and tried on my trousers (too small - must have shrunk!) I went to the woods and puffed around like a small elephant.
Anyway, enough of this nonsense. My names Pablo. I spent a few years in the army and I'm now in Essex UK. I'm looking forward to re-learning lost skills and buying new kit! My philosophy is based on the less you have the better, but I go equipped for wildlife watching. (Aren't these digital cameras great?)
This community seems awesome and I'm really looking forward to learning and contributing. See you all soon.
