I just received about a month ago a pair of their "Gentlemen's Upland Boots." I don't consider myself a gentleman in that sense of the word any more than I am a "sportsman." But they let me buy them anyway.

The boots themselves are really very good and are very easy on the feet. Hardly any break-in period required, although mine are the high ones and are hardly hiking boots. I have been wearing them frequently. I got the uninsulated ones but even they are lined (smooth lining). These boots and just about all of them anymore come with a removable innersole. I don't understand the point because among other things, it makes the fit rather tight (in my case, at least).

They are made in China.

Cabela's is huge and is about the only source I know of for wool shirts in tall.

from their site :

Surface shipping and handling is 20% of the total order amount or a minimum of $15.00.
Air delivery is 40% of the total order amount or a minimum of $35.00.

I put an order in every couple of years for hunting gear etc. Have always gone with the Airmail, but have been talking to some people recently who have received the surface mail with a couple of weeks. Just depends on your luck.

I've never managed to avoid the Customs charges (x% of retail price inc. shipping), plus the carrier will stick a handling fee on top of that. You really have to do your homework, or you can end up paying a lot more than you thought.

having said that, the odd order is a lot cheaper than what I'd spend if I visited one of their stores!
